Hello!

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I am touched and humbled that you’ve even found my work!

My name is Fozia and I am a botanical artist from the UK. I’ve always had an interest and flair for art, particularly painting and drawing. I must confess, I have always loved art. Going against the majority of people around me who opted for degrees in Maths or Science, I decided to study Printed Textiles. Yes, everyone thought I was crazy but, I always knew that I was an artist.

I am now an experienced art teacher who continues to promote my passion for the subject, as well as the benefits of The Arts with my students. After being inspired by the quality of work produced by my students, I decided to return to my own art in 2022. Within several months, I received notable success as the runner-up in a popular art competition. After visiting the Society of Botanical Artists 2023 Plantae exhibition for the first time, inspired and enthused, I set myself the challenge of becoming a fellow member of the society. Immersing myself in studying botanical art by learning and practising, at the end of 2023, my goal was achieved.

I have a keen eye for detail and strive to portray the beauty of the botanical world in my art. My preferred medium is gouache due to its versatility in how it can be used as watercolour or acrylic.

My journey continues and I now have some new goals to work towards. I’m keeping them close to my chest at the moment, but I hope that you will join me on whatever comes next. You can check out what i’m up to and all the latest news on my instagram page and don’t forget, if you see something you like, get in touch!
